As a military family, we're often away from those I love. I miss birthdays, holidays, weddings, and random coffee dates with friends, among other things. This has been one of the hardest parts of being a part of the "silent ranks." I can't imagine raising Baby K while my Captain was off deployed to some third world country, forcing him to miss so many milestones. All of these reasons are why I'm hosting my very first giveaway!

This is such a cute idea! Good job, Kacy! Anywho...I don't really have anyone to record a story for (especially since my nephew has no clue who I am since we've been gone so long), so I guess I would say it should go to someone who would have better use for your nice gift!

Hello there Mama! Great idea for a giveaway, and don't you look fantastic with a baby bump! I'd send it to my mom and dad so they could record a story for my girls - you are so right, being far from family with little kids, it's tough. I love the sound of grandma and grandpa being part of my girls' bedtime routine, even from far, far away.
I would LOVE to win this! My sister is pregnant with her first baby and I am moving to Australia, which is so hard. It's sad I won't get to see my nephew whenever I want. Would love to give him a piece of me to keep. :)

What a nifty idea! I would love to do this, but I'm so close to my special young ones - Lyrika and Natalie - that I would want it to go to someone who is some distance away. I would love it if Natalie's grandpa or grandma would do it for her, but not sure they would. Maybe you will find the perfect one to bestow this gift onto. Reading to little ones is a treasure in itself.
