Excited About: Being cleared to workout again postpartum. I'm tired of my achy back, soft body, and getting kicked all day long. I can't wait to hold little baby M in my arms and be able to put him down every so often so I can work out! I want to run again. I want to be fast. I want those endorphins.

Reading:
(Just Finished)
(It was good)

Feeling: Oh, pretty good. The stress level is down a bit, I'd say. I am working ahead in the class I'm taking right now so that I won't have a ton of stuff to do as baby's due date gets closer.

Crafting: I'm going to give this a whirl. I bought all the stuff earlier this week-
(not my photo)
Also, I'm working on a display board for my sweet middle child. It is a work in progress, but it will hopefully help him to communicate by pointing to it when he needs something and is frustrated. It has basic tasks and items we use on a regular basis.

Working On: Counseling 603, Catching up on laundry so I can wash and organize tiny baby clothes, and creating new designs for my shop

Grateful For: I got a call early this week that they found some loaner hearing aids for Baby A! I was thrilled and so thankful. They won't cost us anything and he can use them as long as he needs them. He has to wear them at least three months in preparation for the cochlear implant process.

Currently Feeling: Uninspired here. I haven't written much lately because I've been busy with school and looking after my sweet boys. I've just been trying to soak them up while simultaneously not losing my ever-lovin' mind. Honestly, I felt if I wrote here that negativity would spill out and I don't want that (see Matthew 12:36; Ephesians 4:29). I've just been angry following the news stories lately. This world is a scary place and I often question why I brought these two precious, innocent boys into it. If only I could protect them forever. Still, I'm trying to unplug a little more and focus on the good in my life. I need only to look around and see God's many blessings.

Currently Proud of: Getting promoted with Scentsy! Want to help me celebrate? Shop here. Speaking of Scentsy, this is how K greets me every morning- hugging his little Scentsy buddy...making monkey sounds. Cute as can be.

Currently Excited About: I hit the half way mark in this graduate class! I hope I can finish strong. My grades are great right now and I'm trying to manage my time appropriately.

Currently Reading: Don't you judge me.

Current Exercise Goals:
*I have been participating in #WallSitMonth over at MindOverMunch and I'm happy with my progress so far. My goal is to finish up this month strong by working up to a five minute wall sit!
*I can also report that I'm getting faster in my runs. I met a new friend (hooray!) who used to do marathons, but due to some health issues she had to stop training. She is just now getting back into running and was looking for a partner. I'm supposed to go running with her today! I hope I can keep up and I know she'll push me to go faster and longer. My goal is to keep logging some miles. I feel those endorphins and I love it!

Currently Reading: I read The Happiest Baby on the Block when Cray K was around 7-8 months old. It was too late to take advantage of all the great tips and advice, but I remembered to set it aside to read again for Baby A. I have almost completed it again and I'll be sure to review it when I'm done.

Currently Excited About: I'm taking a concealed carry class next week and hopefully qualifying to be able to pack some heat! Don't mess with Mrs. K.

Currently Proud Of: Cray K has really been doing well with his vocabulary. I haven't mentioned it a lot but he really doesn't say much for his age  (17 months). It was worrying me, but over the last weeks he has added some words to his small collection of communication. They're still not perfect but I can see him trying and that makes me happy!

Currently Worried About: We still haven't found a home in Florida. We have decided not to buy (long story) so we're looking for a suitable rental, but everything is so expensive despite the ugly, rundown demeanor each house has given off. We have a good realtor working for us, but it's going to be difficult to make a decision from Tennessee. In pictures, anything can look good. Doesn't mean it is. We have a long list of things we need. On the top of those is some place safe! The affordable, nice homes are in a part of town that has high crime....hence the gun class.
Currently Thankful For: Sweet, caring people. Earlier this week, Amber surprised me with $25 dollars to Baby Earth....for no reason at all. She is so, so kind and it made my week!
Currently Highlighting: The newest Scentsy special right now is Happy Go Lucky! It's on sale for the month of January-
Happy Go Lucky captures the exhilaration of a new romance with luscious red berries, silky orchid, and Japanese plum floating on a cloud of amber vanilla.

What's New!

I'm amazed at what a difference a year makes:
This is a photo of my boys last December at the dog park in my hometown. This year I'll have three men in my life come December! Wow.
I'm anxious to see how these glasses look on me:

I jumped on the firmoo bandwagon after K broke my glasses recently. For 8 bucks, I figure it can't hurt! Cray K has been on a roll lately. He also broke my iPhone yesterday.
I'm reading:
It's good. I'm about 64% done. I purchased it for the hospital. Perhaps it will last that long, but I might finish it up this weekend instead. Speaking of books, I have a review that is set to post for you all tomorrow! I'll be reviewing Gone Girl.
You need it in your life.
My nails look like this:
Essie Sand Tropez and OPI A Million Sparkles
I have a new post over here:

and last but not least, I'm currently at:
the doctor's office having what I hope is my last appointment before I meet Baby A for the first time. Wish me luck.

Happy Thursday!

my world today

Hello, faithful readers! I'm glad you're here. I could use a friend this morning. I woke up with a lot weighing on my mind, nothing that is really appropriate to talk about here and in all honesty is probably not a big deal yet my evil pregnant hormones are making me feel like it's the end of the world. Now, that I've done that incredibly annoying thing where I foreshadow about an issue and never tell you what it is- Let's move on, shall we? Here's what is current in Mrs. K's world-

I'm currently reading:

I'm currently promoting:
I have to share with you Scentsy's current specials because they're oh-so-awesome. Peppermint Dreams and the Holiday Lights Warmer can be snatched up this month for 10% off.

 Peppermint Dreams is described as-
"A warm rush of honeyed-cupcake sweetness cooled by a blast of fresh mint."

Ahh, sounds fabulous. These two paired together would make a great Christmas gift for that person you have absolutely no idea what to get them. Who doesn't like a yummy smelling home? My house is smelling awesome these days, thanks to Scentsy- no thanks to my baking skills (or lack thereof). I need to get in the kitchen and start practicing making cookies. The problem is I end up eating them all because Captain J doesn't really do sweets. This is not good for my ever-growing middle. ANYWAY...
The Fragrance Foam is Buy One Get One Free now.

Also, if you'd like to be involved with a good cause, consider this:
Scentsy Buddies are currently BOGO free. For every order placed through me or on my personal website, I pledge to donate one buddy to Toys For Tots this holiday season from my own pocket. That means, by purchasing from me, you still get to keep both of your Scentsy Buddies AND allow me to help out a good cause in your honor. Kris over at The New Normal has already helped me out with this project!

Whew! That was longer than I thought it would be. Scentsy has a lot of fun things going on. Currently, I am thankful for:

*the health of my two boys
*the end of this pregnancy in sight
*Christmas music on Pandora
*job interviews for Captain J
*southern comfort, the real kind not the alcoholic kind ;)

Pinning:
Because Captain J and I don't have real dates anymore-

Wouldn't that be fun and romantic? Ya know...if I wasn't a million months pregnant and could actually get on the floor without being stuck there for ages.

Also? I think I might have to try this soon. I have a ton of festive, fancy scrapbooking scissors.

I'm loving: that J promised me a gigantic (my word, not his) shopping spree for clothes after I have Baby A. I haven't shopped in so, so long. He has said this multiple times so it must be real. Together, me and you- we won't let him forget.

XOXO,

Currently (in my neck of the woods)

*I'm downing: a cup of coffee at 3:30pm as I write and schedule this post. Yes, it's been one of those days. I cannot wake up. Baby K is sleeping soundly and I wish I could be doing that, too. Instead I've been nesting. #cantstopwontstop

*I'm reading: The Telling by Gary E. Reavis Sr.

He's a local author (and by local I mean to my home state!). I guess I'll always be a Tennessee girl.

*I'm wondering: what I should change "Baby K" to when Baby A comes along. Many of you have pointed out that he's not so much a baby anymore as he is a walking, talking toddler! If you count his nonsense as talking. Still needs some work, in my opinion. Anyway, suggestions are welcome.

*I'm trying: not to go absolutely, freaking insane. A new dog has been added to our neighborhood albeit temporarily but STILL! He/She is a "froo froo" dog as I not-so-affectionately call them and he's tiny and LOUD. Barking at nothing. All.day.long.

*I'm excited: about the new Scentsy Scent of the Month for November.
Honestly, I haven't smelled it yet, but I'll be placing an order soon after the new month rolls around. You can shop my Scentsy site here.

*I'm thankful: for the health of my boys. I fear that sometimes you come here, read my daily struggles, and think that I might just take how good I have it for granted. Maybe I do sometimes. But not a day goes by that I am not in prayer to God for blessing me so richly with two perfect sons and a loving husband. Life is so, so good. Even when it seems hard. I'm so blessed!

*I'm glad: for cool October evenings when I can snuggle with my honey by the fire. Check out our redneck fire pit and be jealous of our innovation.

*I'm missing: my blonde hair sometimes.

*I'm looking forward to: working toward losing weight and not putting it on! Seven(ish) more weeks to go until Baby.

Speaking of, I keep thinking: of all these things newborns require. Like burping! And swaddling! And nursing, oh my. I hope my body has muscle memory and just simply knows what to do. I mean, yeah...it hasn't even been a year since I had to do all these things, but the way I function is that I focus on the age group K is in and I deal with it. All other knowledge of what I thought I knew about him goes out the window as he changes everyday. I don't have space for remembering all those techniques for burping a tiny human right now. Do you think it'll come right back to me? Surely. Anyway, enough about burping. That word is just gross.

Current in September

Happy September, friends! I have high hopes for this month that it is going to fly by smoothly and contain elements of fall. That's sort of a pipe dream here in Cajun Country, but I'll still cross my fingers. I have many things to update you on- like my Mom's trip here to visit and Captain J, Baby K, and my adventures at the Alexandria zoo. One day, I'll do that. Today, I'll tell you what's going on in the life of Mrs. K.

Currently Reading:
Currently Feeling:
I'm 26 Weeks, but I feel at least 30 Weeks along in the pregnancy. I think I waddle a bit. I know that December will be here before we know it, but right now I'm none too excited about the fact that I have at least 12-14 weeks left of feeling this way. Not to mention- the whole family is sick right now. It's not pleasant at our house.
I'm also getting pretty nervous about this tumultuous time in our lives. In December we'll welcome a new baby into our family. Then it will be Christmas. Then it will be time to move. But where? We have no idea where J will find a job once he gets out of the Army. It sounds incredibly hectic.

Currently Going on with Scentsy:
I'm trying really hard not to buy the Scent of the Month: Caramel Pear Crisp

I started selling Scentsy a couple months ago and it has been a fun way to make a little extra money. Let me know if you'd like to get in on it, too. I'm still learning the ropes, but I really like this company! It's also nice when my house smells like Blueberry Cheesecake or Warm Apple Cider instead of diapers and dishes. Ha ;)

Currently Saving:
Captain J and I have deemed September- "No Spendtember." We're trying to avoid buying anything that's not necessary. We'll see how it goes. In an effort to save up for a new ride and other things Baby A will cause us to need, we're watching our bank account more closely. I love my car, but I think it's time for something a little roomier. Captain J is so tall that he doesn't fit in either of the front seats when there are two carseats in the back. So there's that. We also will probably need a double stroller and I'd like to get a jogging one so that I won't get fat. Babies are expensive, folks.

Currently Proud of:
My recent sewing project-

and of course, this little guy-
He is still working on his walking skills, but I've noticed him paying more attention when I point to things. Yesterday at the zoo, I saw that he was actually following what I was trying to show him. I used to point and he'd stare at my hand. I know these things don't matter to you, but whatever. Mama's proud.

What are you up to these days?

Currently (#2)

Want to know what's currently going on in the life of Mrs. K? Well, I'll tell ya...

I'm currently excited to announce that I'm now selling Scentsy! If you're living under a rock, I'll let you know that I've been diggin' their products for a long time now and you should try some out, too. Scentsy is a yummy smelling alternative to candles. Their wickless warmers are absolutely delicious (or at least they'll leave your home smelling that way!). That's not all that is offered, though. I'm excited to get this business rolling and I'd love if you were a part of it! Please go check out my page and order if you'd like or contact me with any questions.

Currently Reading:
I am now reading A Scattered Life. I'll be honest, I only purchased it on my kindle because it was under $2 and I was in that sad phase when you finish a book you haven't been able to put down. I'm only a few chapters in, but I will let you know how it is. The book I just finished is Bloom by blogger Kelle Hampton.
I've been all about bloggers turned published novelists and authors partly because I'd like to support them and partly because I envy them. I've heard a lot of good reviews on this book. I thought it was good- interesting. I enjoyed reading her raw emotions from the birth of her 2nd born until now. Her journey makes me wonder what I'm capable of in other areas of my life. I don't think I enjoyed the book as much as most, though. There were just a few small things that irked me about it that I can't quite put my finger on. I don't know if that's because I just can't understand what she was thinking/feeling or if I'm simply envious of her rare ability to not hold back- to tell all.

Currently Mad About:
This DirectTV business! Viacom, DirectTV- whoever is responsible for ridding me of my weekly reality show fixes. Unacceptable. I mean, why am I paying the same price I was paying, but now I'm short several popular channels? And they're channels I actually watch! I don't like it one bit. I look forward to moving and handing them our military orders and washing our hands of tv all together. It's garbage anyway, am I right? But man...that garbage is entertaining.

Currently Counting Down To:
* Captain J's ETS date (get out of the Army date) is now set in stone established. It just so happens to fall on our anniversary, too. Oh, happy day! I'm excited to start this next chapter despite all the uncertainty that it brings with it.
* Also? I have potential trips in my future. Nothing big or anything, but we'll see if it pans out.
* Baby K's first birthday is coming up! I can't believe it.

Note: I'm fully aware that people probably think that about K Baby from time to time!

Currently Thankful:
Well, I'm thankful for a lot but I'm really really thankful to Pinterest in this moment. I practically burnt the fingerprint off my right thumb while making a pizza. I quickly ran to the computer and typed in "burn remedy"- Voila! It said to rub egg whites on the burn, an old wives tale. Not one to question old wives, I did so and I'm here to tell ya- an hour later, the pain was gone. I'm typing with the thumb now (obviously). I can still see it, but it doesn't hurt. Thank you, thank you Pinterest!

One more thing- Have you entered my Current Giveaway?
