This Friday

If I didn't have five million warmers already, I'd get this one:

How cute is that! Wouldn't it be a sweet gift to your dear mother? Or sister? Or best(est) friend?

Anyway, how are you all this fine Friday? I'll tell you what- I've got the cabin fever. This rain is trying to destroy my goal of:
It has been raining forever. Ok, just nonstop for a few days, but it feels like an eternity. My sanity comes from going on a run in the morning with the boys in the stroller and then letting Cray K get some energy out as we relax outside. This isn't an option this week (or weekend). We're all at the point of just staring at each other and whining a lot. Anyway, as you can see I'm attempting to log in one hundred miles this month. Yesterday, I ran in the rain sans children and I felt like a beast. I have done 6 miles total thus far. My legs hurt so good.

We've been doing well, though...

Before all the rain started, we had a play date and one of the ladies there was snapping photos of all the young'uns. She got some cute ones of my Cray K-

He is quite the handful. He is talking more and more which is most welcome. Next, I hope that "no" will become only 30% (or less) of his vocabulary instead of 98.99%, but who's complaining? He also (very occasionally) says please ("pease?") and then I give him whatever his little heart desires because he is just so darn cute. This child is spoiled rotten. We might need re-enforcements.

Yes, life is good this Friday. What's going on in your world?

Weddings- Love Them or Hate Them?

Oh, March. The beginnings of the dreaded bridal season. I kid, I kid. But seriously...I used to hate going to weddings. I think the majority of them are pretty corny. Just being real, folks. The older I get, though the more I don't mind attending. Sometimes I actually want to go to my friends' hitchins but I can't because I live so far away. Anyway, I'll bet you have a bunch of weddings to attend or some presents to purchase for the bride-to-be. If you're out of gift ideas, consider this new, lovely Premium Warmer from Scentsy:

First comes love, then comes marriage, then comes baby in a baby carriage.

For the parents-to-be in your life, check out these precious customizable baby warmers:
For easy clicking, here's the blue one and here's the pink one.

As always, if you need to order any Scentsy, I'm your gal.

Love you. Mean it.

Back To The Grind

Well, I did it. I registered for classes again. What? You thought I was going to say I finally lost my mind? Well, maybe that's right, too. Anyway, I had to sign up for classes before all my information was discarded and if I ever wanted to go back, I'd have to re-start the application process over. In the words of Sweet Brown, "Ain't nobody got time for dat." So here I am...

trying not to freak out.

There's no sense in worrying, but I can't help but wonder how in the world I'm going to go to school with two babies. I've heard people say that this school is "easy"- it's all online after all- but nothing could be further from the truth. It's time consuming- very much so and when you have a family to take care of, there's nothing easy about that. I haven't taken graduate classes in over a year. I'm out of practice. I was comfortable not having any goals other than "make it through the day" or even "make it until nap time." Now, the reality is back in my face. This isn't over yet. It has just begun and I still have a lot of work ahead of me.

I want so desperately to keep my 4.0 average. That's my goal right now.

Wish me luck (and send up some prayers if you would!) in my studies. I hope I'm not in over my head. I feel like I am.

Not to mention our bank account just took a pretty significant nose dive.

Let's talk about that, shall we?

Oh, I bet it's divine. You should try it. Just sayin'.

(Thanks for all the facebook encouragement. Y'all are the best!)

Fridays are Fabulous!

I'm linking up with one of my favorite bloggers today for a little Fab Friday! Here are the fabulous things going on in my world today:

* My husband is coming home tomorrow! I haven't seen him in forever (or so it seems) and I can't wait for him to join our family again.

*Both kids are asleep as I type this and I'm about to watch a movie by myself and paint my nails and OH! IS IT GOING TO BE FUN!

*I have a winner for the Starbucks giveaway! Drumroll, please...

a Rafflecopter giveaway
*The movers are supposed to come back today and take away all of the 191 boxes they left here. Every other military move we've done, we had to find a way to dispose of them ourselves. I'm so so grateful that they're dealing with it this time.

*Once the boxes are gone, my new house will be a home. I'm sure of it.

*My youngest finally smiled for the camera yesterday. Mama was proud.

*Scentsy has a whole bunch of their Fall/Winter products on sale for 10% off!

*Did I mention my husband is coming home? Can't wait to give him a big hug, hand the kids over, and run out the door!

Currently

Currently Reading: I read The Happiest Baby on the Block when Cray K was around 7-8 months old. It was too late to take advantage of all the great tips and advice, but I remembered to set it aside to read again for Baby A. I have almost completed it again and I'll be sure to review it when I'm done.

Currently Excited About: I'm taking a concealed carry class next week and hopefully qualifying to be able to pack some heat! Don't mess with Mrs. K.

Currently Proud Of: Cray K has really been doing well with his vocabulary. I haven't mentioned it a lot but he really doesn't say much for his age  (17 months). It was worrying me, but over the last weeks he has added some words to his small collection of communication. They're still not perfect but I can see him trying and that makes me happy!

Currently Worried About: We still haven't found a home in Florida. We have decided not to buy (long story) so we're looking for a suitable rental, but everything is so expensive despite the ugly, rundown demeanor each house has given off. We have a good realtor working for us, but it's going to be difficult to make a decision from Tennessee. In pictures, anything can look good. Doesn't mean it is. We have a long list of things we need. On the top of those is some place safe! The affordable, nice homes are in a part of town that has high crime....hence the gun class.
Currently Thankful For: Sweet, caring people. Earlier this week, Amber surprised me with $25 dollars to Baby Earth....for no reason at all. She is so, so kind and it made my week!
Currently Highlighting: The newest Scentsy special right now is Happy Go Lucky! It's on sale for the month of January-
Happy Go Lucky captures the exhilaration of a new romance with luscious red berries, silky orchid, and Japanese plum floating on a cloud of amber vanilla.

Friday Finds and Other Fabulous Things

I've got two deals for ya! The first is for you pregnant and/or nursing mothers. FREE re-usable nursing pads can be scored at Udder Covers. Simply add the 10 pads to your cart and use promo code THANKPADS. I just ordered some and the shipping came out to around $11. Still, a great deal as I would have been paying over $45 for the same items.

The second is for all you military folks out there. In honor of the upcoming Veteran's Day, Hickory Farms has created specific military gift baskets and offers FREE shipping to APO and FPA addresses.

Isn't that fabulous? Here are some other fabulous things...

Muffins at noon:

Cute, festive Scentsy:
(As always, shoot me an email for my personal specials for the month. I'll be placing an order on Wednesday if anyone needs anything!)

A babe that finally hit the hay last night, giving Mama some time to do the nails and browse Pinterest on her new favorite toy:

Purdy sweater I purchased with a birthday GC:

And as always, I think my family is a pretty good find, too!

What's fabulous in your life today? Go link up with Laura, like I did!

my world today

Hello, faithful readers! I'm glad you're here. I could use a friend this morning. I woke up with a lot weighing on my mind, nothing that is really appropriate to talk about here and in all honesty is probably not a big deal yet my evil pregnant hormones are making me feel like it's the end of the world. Now, that I've done that incredibly annoying thing where I foreshadow about an issue and never tell you what it is- Let's move on, shall we? Here's what is current in Mrs. K's world-

I'm currently reading:

I'm currently promoting:
I have to share with you Scentsy's current specials because they're oh-so-awesome. Peppermint Dreams and the Holiday Lights Warmer can be snatched up this month for 10% off.

 Peppermint Dreams is described as-
"A warm rush of honeyed-cupcake sweetness cooled by a blast of fresh mint."

Ahh, sounds fabulous. These two paired together would make a great Christmas gift for that person you have absolutely no idea what to get them. Who doesn't like a yummy smelling home? My house is smelling awesome these days, thanks to Scentsy- no thanks to my baking skills (or lack thereof). I need to get in the kitchen and start practicing making cookies. The problem is I end up eating them all because Captain J doesn't really do sweets. This is not good for my ever-growing middle. ANYWAY...
The Fragrance Foam is Buy One Get One Free now.

Also, if you'd like to be involved with a good cause, consider this:
Scentsy Buddies are currently BOGO free. For every order placed through me or on my personal website, I pledge to donate one buddy to Toys For Tots this holiday season from my own pocket. That means, by purchasing from me, you still get to keep both of your Scentsy Buddies AND allow me to help out a good cause in your honor. Kris over at The New Normal has already helped me out with this project!

Whew! That was longer than I thought it would be. Scentsy has a lot of fun things going on. Currently, I am thankful for:

*the health of my two boys
*the end of this pregnancy in sight
*Christmas music on Pandora
*job interviews for Captain J
*southern comfort, the real kind not the alcoholic kind ;)

Pinning:
Because Captain J and I don't have real dates anymore-

Wouldn't that be fun and romantic? Ya know...if I wasn't a million months pregnant and could actually get on the floor without being stuck there for ages.

Also? I think I might have to try this soon. I have a ton of festive, fancy scrapbooking scissors.

I'm loving: that J promised me a gigantic (my word, not his) shopping spree for clothes after I have Baby A. I haven't shopped in so, so long. He has said this multiple times so it must be real. Together, me and you- we won't let him forget.

XOXO,

Currently (in my neck of the woods)

*I'm downing: a cup of coffee at 3:30pm as I write and schedule this post. Yes, it's been one of those days. I cannot wake up. Baby K is sleeping soundly and I wish I could be doing that, too. Instead I've been nesting. #cantstopwontstop

*I'm reading: The Telling by Gary E. Reavis Sr.

He's a local author (and by local I mean to my home state!). I guess I'll always be a Tennessee girl.

*I'm wondering: what I should change "Baby K" to when Baby A comes along. Many of you have pointed out that he's not so much a baby anymore as he is a walking, talking toddler! If you count his nonsense as talking. Still needs some work, in my opinion. Anyway, suggestions are welcome.

*I'm trying: not to go absolutely, freaking insane. A new dog has been added to our neighborhood albeit temporarily but STILL! He/She is a "froo froo" dog as I not-so-affectionately call them and he's tiny and LOUD. Barking at nothing. All.day.long.

*I'm excited: about the new Scentsy Scent of the Month for November.
Honestly, I haven't smelled it yet, but I'll be placing an order soon after the new month rolls around. You can shop my Scentsy site here.

*I'm thankful: for the health of my boys. I fear that sometimes you come here, read my daily struggles, and think that I might just take how good I have it for granted. Maybe I do sometimes. But not a day goes by that I am not in prayer to God for blessing me so richly with two perfect sons and a loving husband. Life is so, so good. Even when it seems hard. I'm so blessed!

*I'm glad: for cool October evenings when I can snuggle with my honey by the fire. Check out our redneck fire pit and be jealous of our innovation.

*I'm missing: my blonde hair sometimes.

*I'm looking forward to: working toward losing weight and not putting it on! Seven(ish) more weeks to go until Baby.

Speaking of, I keep thinking: of all these things newborns require. Like burping! And swaddling! And nursing, oh my. I hope my body has muscle memory and just simply knows what to do. I mean, yeah...it hasn't even been a year since I had to do all these things, but the way I function is that I focus on the age group K is in and I deal with it. All other knowledge of what I thought I knew about him goes out the window as he changes everyday. I don't have space for remembering all those techniques for burping a tiny human right now. Do you think it'll come right back to me? Surely. Anyway, enough about burping. That word is just gross.

What's going on in your neck of the woods?

It's October!

Happy First Day of October to ya! September seemed to fly by for us. I'm looking forward to some cooler days, but I have no false hopes that will happen anytime soon. Last October looked a lot like this:

I was in shorts and holding a sweet two month old! This year, I'm holding an even tinier baby in my womb and I still can't wrap my mind around the fact that we'll soon be a family of four.

J snapped this photo the other day when I was 30 Weeks pregnant, exactly. My, oh my, what a difference one year makes. It's so strange to be in the same town and SAME HOUSE for a whole year. We've never had this luxury and to be honest? I think we're getting restless! It's time to move.

Lots of fun things happened this past weekend. First and foremost, I must introduce you to my new baby:

She hasn't been named yet. This one obviously isn't mine, but it looks very similar. Mine has running boards because I'm so short and is my very favorite color for a car: charcoal gray/ navy(ish)? Whatever. All I know is she is lovely.

You may be wondering- What happened to "No Spendtember"? Well, we got paid early- that's what happened. Of course that meant the month was over, right? We wrote out that check and didn't turn back mostly because this is what we were saving for. My little Beamer was not going to work well with our expanding family. Captain J's legs are so long, it's difficult for him to fit in the front seats when there are car seats in the back. I feel a little more prepared for Baby A to make his appearance.

Being pregnant again so soon has prevented me from forgetting just how dreadfully uncomfortable the 3rd trimester is. When I discovered I was expecting again, one of my first thoughts was, "Oh, man- how am I going to waddle around and chase K Baby?" That has been interesting trying to figure out. I'm in that stage where I get out of breath easily. Everything on my body is swollen and achy. I even had to take off my wedding ring already.

Selling Scentsy is going well. It gives us a little extra money in our pockets and I love feeling like I'm contributing to our household financially, even if it's just in a small way. Plus it's fun to get emails like this one:
I'm happy when the customer likes a delicious smelling home as much as I do! I've got my eye on this little Halloween Plug-In:

Many of the holiday warmers have already been snatched up! I'll probably place an order later this week so let me know if there's anything I can order for you.

My holiday (read: Spooky Halloween!!) decorations are coming together quite nicely. I've had fun creating festive decor and I'll be sure to post tutorials soon for my newest creations. Now, if I could just start piecing together our Halloween costumes. It's a lot more difficult when you're in a town without a decent sized Goodwill. That's always my jumping off point to feel inspired, get ideas, and get started. I went the other day to look and left with 18 month old PJs and a newborn baby wrap. I guess I've got my kids on the brain!

For October, one of my goals is to clean out this house! We've collected so much junk over the past year and it's feeling like it's closing in around me. I'm ready to get rid of it! I dropped off a bag of clothes to Goodwill last week and I'm working on one to take this week, too. I die a little inside when I notice all the clothes are from Express, The Limited, and other semi-expensive stores but I just don't have the patience to try to sell them myself. I just want it gone! There's something about surrounding myself with stuff that makes me feel icky inside. Perhaps I should blame the show Hoarders.

Anyway, I think I've rambled enough. If you made it this far, thanks. I do hope you have a wonderful week.

Love,

Scentsy BOGO Promotion: Holiday Buddy

(Really quickly- I'd just like to thank all of you for your sweet words yesterday! I'm still in the process of writing you all back, but I appreciate you all very much!)

I love these little Buddies. Baby K got one as a gift when he was still in my womb. Since then, he has grown to love it as it sleeps with him in his crib every night. I like it, too because it keeps his little space smelling baby fresh! This is one of my favorite items to include for new moms as a shower gift. All Buddies are pretty gender neutral so I keep some on hand. It looks like I'm going to need to order more. These little cuties will soon be discontinued.

Scentsy is offering a special promotion of BUY ONE, GET ONE FREE on Scentsy Buddies. This special will run until December 31st so stock up for Christmas while you can!

Choose any two of these Buddies:
Lenny the Lamb
Penny the Pig
Roarbert the Lion
Ribbert the Frog

Holiday Favs

Lovely Monday mornin', isn't it? I've been enjoying the light rain this am and working on some projects which include organizing, sewing diapers, and working on my Scentsy business. I must be nesting! I can hardly believe I only have about eleven weeks left until we meet Baby A. There's so much to do!

Anyway, I know a lot of you over-achievers like to get a jump start on your holiday shopping so I wanted to share some of my favorites from the new Holiday Collection from Scentsy in hopes that you'll fall in love with these pieces, too and order a gazillion for all your friends and family. Any of these would be perfect for those Dirty Santa Swaps that people like to have. Personally, I don't like that game. I don't think I've ever stolen a gift from anyone. I'm so lame. I digress.

Here are my favorites:

Not quite ready to discuss Christmas yet? Start browsing the holiday collection for your Halloween and Fall Needs! There are lots of cute things for all you Halloween lovers out there.
I've got some personal specials going on right now, too. Email or private message me on fb or Twitter to hear about those!
